LNG / LN2 / LOX Storage & Transport

Reduce heat leak and boil-off in vacuum-insulated tanks and transport vessels while keeping the insulation package practical to install and inspect.

Recommended system Cold boundary / Core insulation / Fixing and seams / Protection and vacuum support
Recommended products CryoMLI 101 · CryoMLI 102 · CryoMLI 202 · CryoMLI 212

Engineering scope

Key engineering challenges

  • Control radiation and residual-gas heat transfer
  • Maintain layer density around supports and penetrations
  • Select oxygen-compatible materials and cleaning controls when LOX service applies

System layers

  1. 01
    Cold boundary

Tank or process vessel surface prepared to the project specification.

  2. 02
    Core insulation

CryoMLI reflective and spacer structure selected for temperature, vacuum, and installation density.

  3. 03
    Fixing and seams

CryoTape used only where needed to control edges, overlaps, and handling.

  4. 04
    Protection and vacuum support

CryoFiG reinforcement and separately selected adsorbent materials where the vessel design requires them.

Supporting materials and supply boundaries

East Far Cryo supplies cryogenic insulation materials, related processing, and material-selection support. Equipment and system responsibilities remain with the project owner and equipment designer.

  • Outer jacket, structural supports, seals, valves, and vacuum hardware are equipment-system items and are not represented as East Far Cryo-manufactured equipment.
  • Adsorbent type, quantity, containment, and activation are confirmed with the vessel designer.
  • Cleaning and oxygen-service approval remain subject to the customer's documented safety process.

Parameters needed for quotation

  • Target heat leak or required layer count and any governing acceptance method
  • Required delivery form: rolls, slit widths, sewn blankets, profile-cut parts, or installation kits
  • Transport vibration, orientation, and applicable oxygen-service requirements
